Divorce Real Estate certification includes more than 40 hours of in-person training taught by judges, family law experts, and divorce lending professionals. As a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert (CDRE), Leigh serves as an informed neutral partner for clients, adhering to a higher standard of ethics and knowledge of how real estate transactions differ in the case of divorce.

Leigh's Role

Leigh acts as an unbiased Listing Agent, practicing a structured divorce listing process to set a mutually agreed-upon listing timeline and to ensure Orders to Sell are followed. He discovers Court Orders, Restraining Orders, title encumbrance, and vesting before listing and has provisions for including non-titled Parties. He communicates equally with both parties and ensures the process is as respectful as it can be.

Specialized Training

Becoming a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert requires specialized training. Subjects include Dispute Resolution and De-escalation, Neutrality and Bias, Mediation and Collaborative Divorce. This training positions Leigh to offer the best in compassionate real estate service to you and your family.

Attorney & Court Communication

With Authorization to speak with Counsel, Leigh informs both Attorneys of milestones and involves them upon impasse if necessary. He is qualified to testify, write reports to court, make recommendations, provide Stipulation & Order Re: Sale of Real Property and Appointment of Expert.
